A  new approach to working for the artist that cultivates the whole self -
                                  physical, emotional and mental.

Drawing from a unique combination of Vinyasa yoga, Linklater Voicework, Thai Massage and Artistic Exercises, Check-In develops a creative habit that not only caters to the artist's performance skills, but serves the artist outside of the rehearsal hall. Check-In reinforces the resilience, stamina, resourcefulness, connection, initiative, positivity and health required to maintain a life in the arts.

Brennan Check-In has attended the HBMG National Winter Playwright's Retreat for three years in a row! Empowering diverse artists is paramount in the Retreat's Mission.

Good News!

Check-In is in development with the BFAs at Oklahoma City University.

This year we are expanding Actor's Instrument into a full year course with the BFAs. In it, they practice yoga regularly and expand their definition of what it means to be an artist.

Second-year BFAs are in the midst of Voice 1. They recognize habits and release tension while speaking original Voice Poems, explore vibration and share Shakespeare Text.  End of semester brings Curiosity Projects. Past highlights include: unique journaling techniques, original music compositions, a first book draft, an opera, pride embroidery, new instruments, ASL sonnets, meditations, ASMR, chakra investigation and alternative alphabet explorations. What could you accomplish if you were just curious?
